To devote the amount of time I feel the behavioural cases deserved, I left general practice and in April 2006 joined Sarah Heath’s Behavioural Referrals in Chester. I worked there for 12 months seeing 3-4 dog behaviour cases per week. Having spent too much time away from home and driving up and down the M6, I am now working from home taking referrals from within a reasonable distance of my office.
I live near Rugby with my two children, husband, two dogs Boris and Ebony, cat Mavis, and my chickens.
I believe that the relationship between an owner and their pet is critical to the happiness of both, and I aim through my work to improve the quality of life for both owner and pet.

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from Cambridge University in 2001. After graduating I worked as a vet in mixed practices in the Welsh borders and then in Warwickshire until March 2006. In the meantime I was pursuing my lifelong interest in animal psychology by completing the postgraduate course at Southampton University in ‘Companion Animal Behaviour Counselling’.
